Despite sporting one of the worst haircuts
ever seen at
the club, John is one of the best young players that Burton Albion
has ever produced.
John was the first member of
the successful Youth Development squad to be given a full contract
with the first team. After making his debut in the Birmingham Senior
Cup in October 2005, he had to wait until the final game of that
season to make a league appearance.
Injuries and suspensions at
the start of the 2005/06 season thrust John into the first team line
up and he earned a string of accolades with his excellent
performances.
Formerly on the books of
Manchester City and Stoke City, John has represented England at
Schools level and C level.
John was signed by Crewe
Alexandra in August 2008 after making 100 appearances for the
Brewers.
