Signed from Tamworth in the summer of 2004 for £7,500. He started his career in the youth team at Kidderminster Harriers, progressing on to make 46 appearances for the Aggborough side. After losing his place in the first team he went to Tamworth, initially on loan, and finally on a permanent deal. Whilst with the Lambs, Lee was on the verge of a move to Notts County to join up with his former Tamworth boss, Gary Mills. However, the deal fell through and Nigel Clough showed how much he rated Lee by paying out a fee to secure his services.

Lee made an impressive start to his Albion career during his first season but a pelvic injury meant that he was limited to just 2 appearances in his second season. He was released at the end of the 2005/06 season.

After an unsuccessful trial at Bristol Rovers, Lee went on to join Moor Green.
