Joined the Brewers on loan from Derby County after impressing Nigel Clough whilst playing for the Rams reserves at the Pirelli Stadium.

A prolific goal scorer at Pride Park, it was hoped that Paris would be a good addition to the Albion squad. He made only one league start and was used mainly in cup competitions, failing to score.

He was frequently ill or injured and returned to his parent club without having shown any of his potential.
