The following pen picture is taken from the Burton Albion programme from December 1960;

A native of Kidderminster, he played for their schoolboys and followed this up with a four year stay at Villa Park. He made nearly 100 appearances in the Central League team before joining Albion in April 1960.

He has proved to be a most useful acquisition, and has put up some first class exhibitions in our colours.

During the summer months, Brian keeps his eye on the ball by playing cricket and he is on the staff of Worcestershire County Cricket Club as an all-rounder.
