BREWERS v YORK CITY PREVIEW (31/03/06)

Seven games to go, and seven points off the play-offs. That's the situation as Burton Albion prepare for the visit of York City to the Pirelli Stadium. Defeat for the Brewers will certainly end any faint hopes of making the top five, whilst the Minstermen need all three points to consolidate their position.

A big crowd is expected with Daryl Clare is expected to make his home debut. MATCH PREVIEW...

CLOUGH IS CONFERENCE TOP BOSS (30/03/06)

Nigel Clough has been named the Nationwide Conference manager of the month for March. The award is shared with Halifax Town boss Chris Wilder. The Brewers won two away games and lost 1-0 at home to Hereford during the past month, meaning that Nigel wins the award due to a points totting up system.

BREWERS IN SHOCK DEADLINE DAY SWOOP (23/03/06)

Nigel Clough has pulled off one of the biggest signings in the club's history with the capture of prolific striker Daryl Clare. The 27 year old frontman has joined the Brewers on a deal until the end of the 2006/07 season after leaving Crawley Town.

Clare has a proven goal scoring record in the Conference, finishing as the leagues top scorer on two occasions. He also has two league championship medals on his mantelpiece after gaining promotion to the Football league with both Boston United and Chester City.

Clare should make his debut in Saturday's game away at Altrincham.

DALE DEAL DONE (23/03/06)

Striker Dale Anderson has joined Conference North Moor Green on loan until the end of the season. Dale has found his opportunities limited this season, and made his last appearance for the Brewers back in January. He had a spell on loan at Northwich Victoria but failed to secure a permanent move. Dale was believed to be also attracting interest from Stafford Rangers.

Eric Graves also looks to be on his way out of the club after his loan deal to Gainsborough Trinity was extended to the end of the season.

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY FROM CTMD (19/03/06)

BURTON ALBION 0 HEREFORD UNITED 1 (18/03/06)

It is not mathematically impossible, but it is not highly improbable that the Brewers will make this seasons play-offs, after a single goal defeat to Hereford United. Andy Williams seized upon a mistake by Saul Deeney to give the visitors a first half lead. Burton laid siege to the Bull's goal in the second period, but could not find a way through. MATCH REPORT.........

BREWERS v BULLS MATCH PREVIEW (17/03/06)

After the amazing late comeback against Stevenage Borough, the Brewers look to continue their run of good performances against the top teams with the visit of second placed Hereford United. STEVENAGE BOROUGH 2 BURTON ALBION 3 (11/03/06)

A stunning second half fight-back at Broadhall Way saw the Brewers take all three points against promotion chasing Stevenage Borough. Second half goals from Jon Shaw and Aaron Webster levelled the scores after the home side had taken a two goal half time lead. Deep into stoppage time, Christian Moore added to his hero status by firing the winner. MATCH REPORT.......

NEW DAGGERS DATE (06/03/06)

The Conference league game at home to Dagenham & Redbridge has been re-arranged for Tuesday 25th April, after the original fixture was postponed due to a frozen pitch. Ryan Austin - current player of the season leaderPLAYER OF THE SEASON UPDATE (03/03/06)

There are just 10 games left to decide who will be crowned as the 'Clough The Magic Dragon' player of the season. It looks to be a straight fight between four players, although Ryan Austin still has a healthy gap between himself and his nearest challengers.

ROBINSON "CLOUGH COULD LEAVE" (02/03/06)

Chairman Ben Robinson has revealed that he would allow Nigel Clough to leave if Derby County wanted him for their next manager. It is believed that Nigel is top of the wanted list by a new consortium that is looking to take control of the club.

The speculation linking Nigel with the managerial vacancies continues, with former team mates Phil Starbuck and Steve Stone both admitting that they would like to see Clough take the managerial vacancy at Nottingham Forest.
