CLUB GUIDE

ALDERSHOT TOWN

Address: Recreation Ground, High Street, Aldershot, GU11 1TW

Getting There: By Car - From M3 J4 take the A331 towards Aldershot. Exit at Aldershot and take the A323 towards the town centre, continue past Manor Park and under the bridge and the Recreation Ground is on the right.

Parking: There is a small pay and display car park next to the ground, but this fills up very quickly for big games. Further along towards the town centre is a large multi storey car park which is fairly reasonably priced and is less than a 5 minute walk from the ground.

By Train: Aldershot station is 10 minute walk and is served by trains from London Waterloo.

The Stadium:

In a change to previous visits, away fans are now housed in one corner of the East Bank, with a section of seating available in the South Stand. The more vocal of the home support congregate in the other half of the East Bank, and so a good atmosphere is guaranteed.

Admission Prices: Seating - Adults £16 Concessions £10 Junior £9  Terrace - Adults £13 Concessions £9 Junior £8

Places to eat and drink: There are very few places around the ground that are not friendly towards away fans, and so getting a pint before the game is relatively simple. The closest pub to the ground is The Crimea which is directly across the road from the entrance to the home turnstiles. As away fans now have to walk up Redan Hill to get to their turnstiles, maybe the most convenient watering hole is La Fontaine. Despite it sounding like a gay bar, this pub is again welcoming to visiting fans.

Websites: The excellent unofficial website "Shotsweb" provides all the information that you need about Aldershot Town FC. The ground plan in this guide has been pinched from this site.

There is also an Official Site, which is very professional.
